Overview
I love helping all my patients be the healthiest they can be and live their best possible lives. It is rewarding to help my patients return to meaningful activities when they have endured a lifechanging condition resulting in physical impairment or disability. I also love forming close and trusted relationships with patients by caring for them throughout their recovery journey. My approach is to treat each patient as an individual and develop a plan of care that is specific to his or her needs. I also believe in including patients in each decision. Those decisions are best made by educating patients on the different options, informing them of the risks and benefits of each option, and then helping each patient come to an informed decision based on the most uptodate practices. I have a true love of learning and never turn down an opportunity to learn something new. I have often said that if I could make a living from being a student, that would be my chosen profession. In my free time, I frequently seek out something new to learn, whether it be a new skill, reading an article about a new treatment recommendation, or educating myself on various issues in both medical and nonmedical fields. My love for learning greatly improves the care I provide to my patients because it keeps me up to date on the latest treatments and evidencebased practice, which leads to the best patient outcomes.

My primary goal is to help individuals regain function, improve mobility and enhance their overall quality of life. Witnessing the progress and transformation in my patients as they recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions or overcome physical limitations is incredibly rewarding. I lead with a focus on patientcentered care. I effectively engage in communication with both the patient and their caregiver, aiming to meet their objectives. I also value the diverse and multidisciplinary aspects of my field, in which I can collaborate with various healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, orthopedic surgeons and others. Through this collaborative approach, we can create comprehensive treatment plans that are specifically tailored to meet the needs of each patient. One of the significant factors that drew me to my specialty was my own personal experience with sports and physical activity, particularly playing hockey. During this time, I encountered a range of musculoskeletal injuries, witnessing both teammates and opponents facing similar challenges. These experiences sparked my interest in understanding the human body's resilience, its capacity for recovery and the importance of comprehensive rehabilitation.
