Overview
I am a pediatric endocrinologist specializing in type 1 diabetes (juvenile diabetes), growth and puberty concerns, thyroid disorders, and adrenal disorders. I’m also a medical director at the Park Nicollet International Diabetes Center, involved in programming and clinical research that works to improve the lives of everyone living with diabetes. Having lived with type 1 diabetes myself for more than 40 years, I appreciate a knowledgeable medical team as well as the importance of family support and individual hard work for success. I practice what I teach on a daily basis, and I’m thankful for the chance to form relationships with my young patients and their families on a personal level. It’s truly a privilege to get to know people and tailor their medical care, decision-making and expectations to help them be successful.
