Philosophy of care | I believe in preventative care and healthy lifestyles within families. Children learn so much from what's around them, starting with basic needs like nutrition, sleep and activity. As a pediatric nurse practitioner, I believe collaborating with other practitioners is very important to health and wellness. I am eager to educate you and your family and make everyone feel comfortable with the care they receive! | Why I entered medicine | I knew at a young age I wanted to be a pediatric nurse, having received excellent care at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. My best friend's mom, a nurse practitioner, made sure I knew the other possibilities being a pediatric nurse practitioner could bring to my future. I love working with kids and their families. | Community involvement | I help send clothing and toys to children and low-income families through a Head Start program in Kentucky. | Personal interests | I enjoy spending time with my husband and family. We like to travel to see our friends who are scattered across the country. We are a very active family and enjoy working out, golfing, skiing, swimming and hiking to name a few.
