Amy Pfitzinger, PA

Amy Pfitzinger, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who specializes in orthopedics, primarily focusing on spinal conditions affecting adult patients. She offers consultations, evaluations, and treatments for an array of spinal conditions and injuries on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. In her role as a physician assistant, Amy performs physical exams; records medical histories; orders and interprets tests; prescribes medications; and conducts post-operative care and follow-up visits. She works closely with the orthopedic team to create individualized treatment plans as well as assisting in orthopedic surgeries. Amy has extensive experience working with student athletes across multiple sports in both high school and collegiate programs. She particularly enjoys caring for her patients, listening to their concerns, and helping them find an effective treatment solution. Amy is part of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Fun fact: Amy was a collegiate soccer player and captain of the women's soccer team.
