Anca D. Bulgariu, NP

"Anca Daniela Bulgariu is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner who has cared for patients in Chicago for over two decades. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from DePaul University, graduating with distinction, after beginning her healthcare career as a registered nurse.

Since 2014 she has practiced at Hermosa Urgent Care Clinic, where she performs comprehensive and episodic health assessments for patients ages 13 and up, establishes diagnoses, orders and interprets diagnostic testing, prescribes and manages medications, and builds care plans with her patients. Before urgent care, she spent six years as a nurse practitioner in the outpatient GI/IBD clinic at University of Chicago Gastroenterology, working alongside a multidisciplinary team and supporting clinical trial research.

Her clinical foundation was built over eleven years at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on a medical-surgical unit, where she handled critical care functions including hemodynamic monitoring and served as charge nurse and preceptor for new nurses. She has additional experience in occupational and travel health, immunizations, and women's health.

Anca is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing, the Illinois Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She speaks English, Romanian, and Italian, and has volunteered with community health programs and the St. Vincent DePaul homeless.
