Andriy Markevych, RPA-C, or "Dr. Andriy" as he’s known in the office, is an exceptionally skilled and compassionate Astra Vascular provider with a profound background in all facets of interventional radiology. A graduate of Pace University’s prestigious PA program, Andriy completed his studies with honors, twice recognized as the physician assistant “most likely to save a life,” a testament to his unwavering commitment to patients. With extensive experience performing some of the highest permcath, portacath, and vascular access procedure volumes in NYC, he honed his skills under the esteemed Dr. Ishak Charbel, Chairman of BronxCare’s IR department, before furthering his training with Dr. George Bolotin, a friend, colleague, and visiting IR professor. This close working relationship allowed Andriy to master critical clinical and technical skills in highly complex IR procedures, often performing advanced interventions like PE thrombectomy, TIPS placements, and pulmonary AVM embolizations, even during late on-call hours.
