I chose family medicine for my specialty because I believe in seeing the patient as a whole person and coordinating care so we are all working together toward the patient's goal. I also like the emphasis placed on interactions with the patient's whole family. I deeply enjoy performing basic family medicine procedures and love to teach and learn from patients and my peers. I like connecting with my patients and welcome the opportunity to work with a culturally diverse population. I strive to be an active listener, providing guidance and support for my patients and acting as facilitator on their health journey. My special interests include preventive medicine and health education promotion. Volunteering and medical mission work are also passions of mine. I love to spend my free time with my family and friends. I enjoy outdoor activities such as biking and running around the lake. I am a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP).
