Overview
I am an internal medicine doctor with additional training in global health, refugee and immigrant health, and travel and tropical medicine. I completed my residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota and obtained my diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. I then worked on a visceral leishmaniasis project in Ethiopia through Medecins San Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) before joining HealthPartners in October 2006. I thoroughly enjoy taking care of patients from all backgrounds. Caring for a mainly immigrant and refugee patient population is a privilege and brings me great joy. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work every day with such wonderful colleagues and patients. I learn so much from them. I also spend part of my time teaching and working on projects as a faculty member in the Global Health Department at the University of Minnesota.
