Anthony R. Lutz, APN, CUNP, has more than 10 years of specialized expertise in caring for new and follow-up patients with conditions related to the genitourinary system, including survivorship care for urologic cancers, BPH, urinary retention, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, hematuria, prostatitis, scrotal pain, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted infections, voiding dysfunction, and other urologic diagnoses. He is licensed to order and interpret lab work, order and interpret imaging studies, and prescribe medications. Part of Atlantic Medical Group (AMG), he is board-certified as an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and as a certified urologic nurse practitioner (CUNP) by the Certification Board for Urologic Nurses and Associates (CBUNA).After earning his bachelor of science in nursing at Columbia University School of Nursing in New York City, Anthony attained his master of science in nursing as an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner from the same school. He then went on to complete a year-long fellowship in urology for advanced practice providers at the Center for Advanced Practice at Atrium Health, formerly Carolinas HealthCare System, in Charlotte, NC. Prior to joining AMG, Anthony held positions as a urology nurse practitioner at two major hospital systems in New York City.Anthony is a member of the American Urological Association; the Certification Board for Urologic Nurses and Associates, where he has served as President and previously chaired multiple committees; the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates; the American Association of Nurse Practitioners; and the American Nurses Association. He is a published author in nursing textbooks and in multiple peer-reviewed medical and nursing journals, and serves as a manuscript reviewer for Urologic Nursing, the International Journal of STD & AIDS, and LGBT Health.
