Overview
I am a general pediatrician who provides care for children from birth through adolescence. My special interests include adolescent health, children with medical complexity or developmental disorders, and adoption and foster care. I joined Duke in 2024. From helping teens learn to advocate for their own health and well-being to reassuring new parents that they are doing things right, I enjoy inspiring good health by giving people confidence in their own abilities. I love working with kids because it allows me to form special relationships with families while positively affecting the health and safety of the community. Outside of work, I am an adoptive and foster parent who enjoys music, hip-hop dance, travel, and negotiating diets with my obese lap cats.

I am a pediatric nephrologist and work with children with kidney disease. Some of the conditions that we see include congenital malformations of the kidney and the bladder, nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis (inflammation of the kidney filters), and children who are on dialysis or who received kidney transplantation because of kidney failure.
