Overview
I am a palliative care specialist and help support patients and their families to navigate the challenges of serious illness. As part of my role, I get to know my patients deeply and, in doing so, help support them in getting the care that aligns with who they are as a person. I help support quality of life in several different ways, including treating symptoms associated with serious illness, improving communication with health care teams, helping my patients with difficult decisions regarding their health, and supporting my patient's goals, hopes, and values. I see patients of all ages and all types of diseases but have a special interest in taking care of adolescents and young adults with cancer. I love and am grateful for the work I get to do every day and am constantly learning from my patients. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my two little girls who remind me every day how special life is.
