Overview
I thoroughly enjoy my role as a nurse practitioner with the pediatric complex care service here at Duke Health. I am also a provider with the down syndrome clinic. I mostly work outpatient, but I also focus on transitioning our medically complex patients home after lengthy hospitalizations. I can see our patients virtually and also at our complex care clinic at Lenox Baker. I chose this specialty because of the patients and their families. They are truly remarkable, and it is a pleasure to be a familiar face and a provider who knows their unique child well. My true goal is to help our families navigate the complicated healthcare system to get the best medical care for their child as possible. These families know their child best. It is an honor be part of their team to help their child thrive in their home environment. My family at home, including my own three children, give me purpose. We love cooking, traveling, the mountains, and spending time with our pets.
