Overview
My name is Dr. Awilda Lugo Mendez DNP, APRN. I am the medical director for Renewed Health and Wellness LLC.
I received my Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice with a specialty in Family Medicine from Quinnipiac University in 2016, my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Connecticut in 2012, and my Boar Certification in Medical Aesthetics in 2024 from AAOPM. I am bilingual (English and Spanish) and I am very committed to serving the community.
I have managed patient care in different settings, including Primary Care (Private Practice and Community Health Centers), Skilled Nursing Facilities/Short-Term Rehabilitation Centers, outpatient behavioral health, and I have worked Part-Time in Aesthetic medicine for the past three years.
I love being a nurse practitioner and have always practiced with compassion, cultural competence and have provided my patients with the highest quality of care. My practice has always been patient centered and I have enjoyed collaborating with families to address their needs and my patient's needs. My goal is to continue to implement the same principles with Renewed Health and Wellness and serve the Connecticut communities.
