Dr. James Jacobs earned his undergraduate degree in biology from State University of New York School of Arts and Sciences (SUNY Potsdam) and his podiatric medical degree from Temple College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his surgical residency at Doctors Hospital (now United Memorial Medical Center) in Houston. In practice since 1989, Dr. Jacobs is board certified in podiatric surgery and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle disorders resulting from disease or injury. He also treats bunions, neuroma, plantar fasciitis, athlete’s foot, foot pain, calluses and hammer toes. Dr. Jacobs is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and the Harris County Podiatric Medical Society, of which he is a past president.
