Overview
Dr. Capper completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Anatomy and Physiology graduating Summa Cum Laude. He completed a Medical Doctorate (M.D) at Georgetown University School of Medicine with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
He completed residency training in Internal Medicine with a concentration in Primary Care at the University of Colorado, Denver and, upon graduation, became Board-Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. From 2018-2024, Dr. Capper worked at Kaiser Permanente Washington (KPWA). During that time, he served in the following roles: Consultative Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Inpatient Quality Management Specialist, Assistant Medical Director of the Olympia Hospitalist Team, and Assistant Service Line Director of Hospital Medicine for KPWA.
During that time, he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine for the University of Washington School of Medicine's Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum based in Olympia. He served as the Physician Lead for the 3rd year Adult Inpatient Medicine rotation. He was recognized by those students with the Richard M. Tucker WWAMI Excellence in Teaching Award in 2022. In 2025, Dr. Capper provided primary care with Dignity Health. He then started his own private practice in 2026.
Dr. Capper is contracted with the Medical Board of California as an "Expert Consultant.".
