Overview
I work in general pediatrics but primarily see patients in our outpatient eating disorder program. I see males and females who are struggling with eating adequately to support their health and growth. I take particular joy in treating teenagers because it's a dynamic age and a time to sort out their individuality. It's really important for me to get to know my patients well and establish a level of trust. I think teenagers, in particular, are really looking for somebody who will respect them and someone they can speak with confidentially. Helping families get from a period of intense stress to being able to send their teenager off into the world is extremely rewarding. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially outdoors. I believe that I’m a better mother because I'm a pediatrician and a better pediatrician because of what I learn from my children every day.
