"Dr. Santiago Plurad is a board-certified pediatrician who sees patients from birth through 21 years. He received his medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri and performed his medical residency at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Hospital. Dr. Plurad is proud to have received unparalleled leadership experience while serving as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves. In addition, he had the opportunity to train with the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, the federal agency focused on responding to public health needs. Both experiences have enriched his practice and helped better guide and support his patients. Dr. Plurad has received a Best Doctor Award in St. Louis Magazine and a Private Physician Teaching Award through Cardinal Glennon. His clinical interests include preventative care, sports medicine, nutrition and exercise medicine, child and adolescent behavioral health, and immigrant and refugee healthcare. In his free time, Dr. Plurad enjoys personal fitness training in biking, swimming, golfing and running -- even completing the Boston Marathon in 2008.
