Overview
I grew up in rural Southern Michigan, before making my west to Arizona during high school. I stayed in the desert for college and attended Arizona State University where I completed degrees in biochemistry and in psychology. While in undergrad, I made the decision to pursue a career in medicine, as I felt this gave me the best opportunity to put my newfound knowledge and skills into direct action. Also during this time, I worked as a medical scribe at a few local emergency departments, which solidified that I had found the right community for me. I stayed in Arizona for medical school, where I attended Midwestern University. During my studies, I found my calling as a family medicine physician. I found family practice fulfilled my desire to make long-lasting relationships with my patients and see patients of all ages. Professionally, I am excited by practicing full-spectrum rural medicine and osteopathic medicine. I also enjoy procedures and have a budding interest in sports medicine. When I have free-time, my favorite things to do are travel with my wife (ideally to somewhere tropical!), watch the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Lions, and play hockey. In the Pacific Northwest, my wife and I hope to spend time exploring the wilderness here and connecting with our community.
