Overview
I have been practicing in mental health in the southern metro since 1993. I believe having success in managing mental health conditions is best achieved by building a collaborative relationship with the individuals I serve. Through listening, empathizing, and understanding, I hope to create an atmosphere where individuals feel free to ask questions, express their needs and actively guide their care. My main areas of interest are depression, anxiety conditions, bipolar disorder and ADHD. I am a Twin Cities native, having grown up and lived here through my medical school years. After several years of training and practice elsewhere (the winters seemed too cold here at the time), my wife and I moved back to Minnesota in 1993, now residing in the southern metro. We have been married for over thirty years and have three lovely adult children. We spend our time together traveling, golfing, hiking, reading, and watching the occasional Netflix series! I also pursue an active and healthy life-style with running, biking, swimming, and participating in triathlons. I believe that a balanced life allows me to be more effective in my practice.
