I love working in the hospital. I like being able to spend as much time as needed to get to know my patients' entire medical history and to get to know them as people. The workflow is always changing and very different from a clinic setting. I enjoy working with patients with acute medical issues where I get results quickly, as well as caring for patients with multiple medical issues that need a lot of attention. I pride myself on being someone patients can count on. When they have questions, I get answers, and when they need something more, I do everything I can to try and help. I went to school at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but moved back to Minnesota to be near family. I enjoy gardening - both vegetable and flower gardens - cooking, and creative activities such as quilting and knitting. I also love the arts. I frequent the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Walker and the Weisman, and love visiting art museums around the country. I also enjoy traveling. I am a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), and I serve on the Committee for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. I am also a member of the Minnesota Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA) and American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA).
