Overview
Carlos Castillo, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. He treats patients ages 13 and up for women’s health conditions including PCOS, abnormal uterine bleeding, menopause, gestational hypertension, and hypothyroidism. He also provides prenatal care and performs IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon placements, and tissue biopsies.|“I love being able to follow patients through months of their prenatal journey,” he says. “Being able to make a positive impact in someone’s life and be a part of a patient's pregnancy are what bring me into work each day.”|Mr. Castillo is a graduate of King’s College in Wilkes-Barre.|He was inspired to become a provider by his grandfather, who was a colorectal surgeon. “The difference he made in patients’ lives is what helped guide me to become a physician assistant,” he says.|Mr. Castillo notes that his mother also inspires him. “She taught me to treat others with kindness and compassion,” he says. “She truly taught me how to become a good provider and how to treat my patients.”|Mr. Castillo is a lifelong resident of northeast Pennsylvania. In his spare time, he enjoys playing volleyball and reading mystery novels.|Note: Mr. Castillo does not speak Spanish.
