Overview
Prior to moving to Summit County, Dr. Loomis served as a pediatric hospitalist for more than 15,000 children of active-duty, U.S. Army soldiers at Fort Campbell, Kentucky while also caring for young clients at Centennial Pediatrics in Clarksville, Tennessee. He also spent one year in Bagdad, Iraq as a battalion surgeon. He is excited to get to know your family and watch your children grow and reach special milestones in their lives!“I chose pediatrics because I like watching the development of the children,” said Dr. Loomis. “I feel that with some specialty medicine one’s professional focus is very narrow. As a pediatrician I get to be a specialist but also handle the specifics around all aspects of childhood health.”Dr. Loomis will listen carefully to both you and your child and will take the time to answer your questions about what may be happening with your loved one and why. As a pediatrician, he understands that children are not simply small adults and he will develop a family-centered health care strategy to promote your child’s healthy development. Dr. Loomis will also serve as team leader should your child require coordinated care among several specialty practitionersRaised in Highlands Ranch, Dr. Loomis graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Colorado in Boulder where he developed Spanish language fluency. He attended the University of Colorado School Of Medicine in Denver, completed his internship and residency at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics.Dr. Loomis is fluent in Spanish.
