Overview
My goal as a nurse practitioner is to empower my patients through education about their disease process and involving them as an active participant of their care. As an immigrant and Latin American, I strive to provide culturally competent care. I have worked as a registered nurse in pediatric hematology oncology and completed a hematology/oncology nurse practitioner fellowship, which provided me with a great foundation to treat patients with hematologic disorders. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time in nature with my family and dogs.

I am passionate about caring for patients with primary brain and spinal cord tumors. I value establishing relationships with patients and their families and making sure they are getting the same treatment, including symptom management, that I would want my family to receive. Open and honest communication with patients is important to me. I enjoy educating patients and advocating for them to ensure that their needs are met in a timely fashion. I am interested in long-term survivorship education of my patients and I also have a passion for teaching and mentoring future health care professionals.
