She believes the best way to help patients and families navigate some of the toughest moments of their lives is to listen openly and support them wherever they are in their journey.Outside of work, Catherine enjoys spending time outdoors with her family — camping, hiking and paddling. She’s also committed to a daily mindfulness practice that supports her in connecting with others and providing compassionate care.I became a nurse because I believe in human connection. There is value and goodness in every person, and everyone deserves compassionate care. I was drawn to pediatrics because children are awesome — they are strong and resilient and find a way to play and love their families even in the darkest times. It is a privilege to be able to make a living doing something that fits so well with my values.
