Overview
I chose medicine because I loved biology growing up but wanted a career that would allow me to directly apply the science and work closely with people. In college, I worked in a clinic helping to connect families to resources such as food, housing, and health insurance. I quickly learned that many factors influence a person's health. I strive to approach medicine in a holistic way, keeping these social determinants of health in mind. I truly enjoy getting to know my patients as individuals, working with them to identify their goals, and supporting them on their journey to a healthier life. I believe that everyone has a right to medical care and hope to treat people from all walks of life. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies (and pretending to be a film critic), trying new foods, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I am always looking for food recommendations in Durham!.
