I specialize in neurologic rehab following stroke, brain injury, MS or other neurologic disorder. Also, spasticity management and acute or chronic neck and back pain. I have practiced at Park Nicollet as a PM&R Physician Assistant (PA-C) for over 15 years. As a PM&R PA, I work under the supervision of my physician partners who specialize in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. We specialize in the conservative management of patients with acute or chronic back and neck pain, as well as patients with mobility and cognitive impairments due to MS, brain injury, stroke, or other neurologic disorders. Our inpatient practice at Methodist Hospital manages the rehabilitation of patients after stroke, brain injuries, multiple trauma, amputations, and other neurologic disorders which impair their mobility, cognition, and functional abilities. I have a particular interest in stroke and neurologic rehab, and spasticity. I believe one of the most important traits I need as a health care provider is to truly listen to what my patients have to say and to keep their current lifestyle in mind when coming up with a treatment plan. I think developing a healthier lifestyle is a very important part of health care. In my free time, I enjoy reading and staying busy with sports and family activities with my husband and 2 children. We also enjoy visiting our extended family in Indiana, Iowa, and Illinois, as well as other parts of the country.
