She originally attended film school in Los Angeles for screenwriting and had her own script editing business before returning to Florida. She decided to pursue a career in healthcare after helping care for her father before he died. Dr. Finer has more than a decade of previous experience with a state-licensed counseling service to provide patient assessments, intake evaluations and psychological screenings. Her path to family medicine was driven in part by her desire for continuity of care with her patients, seeing how they improve and helping them through difficult moments. Outside of work, she enjoys running, meditating, cycling, kayaking, hiking, travel, pickleball, and spending time with family and friends.
