Dr. Christina M. Thomas

Christina Thomas, DPT, is a physical therapist practicing orthopedic physical therapy. She specializes in sports and post-operative rehabilitation at TOSH in outpatient therapy. She supports patients and their families in Murray and throughout the Salt Lake Valley, focusing on hip treatment with an emphasis on hip preservation.Thanks to her husband's career in the ARMY, she has had the opportunity to work with diverse populations and age groups during her year of experience. She was a contracted PT with the ARMY at Fort Hood, TX, and worked with high-level athletes in an office affiliated with the 49ers. Christina is trained in dry needling and the McKenzie method and has trained with some of the world's best Olympic lifters. She enjoys working with patients on Olympic lifting techniques.At Intermountain, Christina works alongside Dr. Anthony Beutler in a specialized musculoskeletal diagnostic clinic, focusing on diagnosing and treating patients with complex hip conditions. Together, they utilize advanced techniques such as ultrasound-guided procedures and various injections to alleviate symptoms and improve patient outcomes. Christina also collaborates with Dr. Chris West, an expert in arthroplasty and hip preservation, to ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate referrals for his patients.Christina's favorite activities include CrossFit and being on the trails, regardless of the weather. She is fortunate to call Utah home now and is picking up new sports, including skiing in Park City and snowshoeing. She is excited to have the opportunity to work alongside new patients during their recovery!.
