Dr. Dipankar Mukherjee is a specialty care physician board certified in general and vascular surgery and serves as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She is active in research and quality improvement initiatives aimed at advancing pediatric surgical outcomes at Children's National Hospital. In addition, she is enthusiastically engaged in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents and fellows on the surgical service. Dr. Feng received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her general surgery residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. She did a two-year research fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital, during which she focused on tissue engineering in esophageal atresia and gastroschisis, translational research, as well as clinical outcomes and quality improvement in appendicitis and colorectal diseases. Dr. Feng completed her pediatric surgery fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
