Christopher S. Marnell, MD, is a fellowship-trained cardiologist with Morristown Cardiology Associates and Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). He has clinical expertise in all aspects of general cardiology, especially in prevention, lipid management, valvular heart disease and cardiovascular imaging (nuclear cardiology, vascular ultrasound, and echocardiography).A native of New Jersey, Dr. Marnell completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University, graduating cum laude with Distinction in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology. He earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School followed by fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.Dr. Marnell’s research has appeared in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Circulation: Genomics and Precision Medicine and the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, and he has contributed to textbook updates in Fuster and Hurst's The Heart. A committed educator and clinician, he is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered cardiovascular care to his patients both in the office and at Morristown Medical Center.He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.

He is/has been Principal Investigator and serves on the steering committees of numerous clinical trials in interventional cardiovascular medicine and has authored over 700 peer-reviewed publications.Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, Dr. Kirtane is a graduate of Ridgewood High School, Princeton University, and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed his residency/chief residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California – San Francisco. He then completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Coronary and Peripheral Vascular Intervention at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School and additionally obtained a Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health prior to moving back to Columbia.
