Dr. Cody Walter

Dr. Cody is a pediatric resident physician at Southern Illinois University, passionate about caring for the whole child - body, mind, and spirit. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University, where he was awarded the A.T. Still Memorial Medallion, the schools highest honor for embodying the principles of compassionate, community-centered care.

Dr. Cody completed clinical training across the Hawaiian Islands, working with underserved communities and developing a deep commitment to culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care. As both a physician and a father, he understands the importance of meeting families where they are, listening without judgment, and helping every child feel safe, seen, and supported. With a background in education and a love for music and storytelling, he brings a thoughtful, creative approach to medicine - always aiming to build trust, resilience, and lasting connection with the children and families he has the privilege of serving.
