She is a member of the multidisciplinary Juvenile Systemic Scleroderma (jSSc) Center, the only such center in the nation, providing care for children with jSSc respiratory disease.Her research focuses on the epidemiological effects of outdoor air pollution on children with asthma. Dr. Rosser’s long-term goals are to develop innovative methods to identify children with asthma most at risk to the deleterious effects of air pollution. Additionally, while awaiting policy changes to improve air quality for all, she seeks to determine if individual interventions can improve asthma control and symptoms.Dr. Rosser is a former Clinical and Translational Science KL2 Scholar within the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE), has received funding from the American Thoracic Society to conduct a pilot clinical trial to evaluate adding the Air Quality Index to routine childhood asthma care, and is currently a principal investigator of a K08.
