Overview
I grew up in the La Crosse area and was in the Midwest for college, medical school and pediatric residency (University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Des Moines University and University of Wisconsin-Madison, respectively). Following completion of my pediatric residency, I accepted a position at a community health center in South Lake Tahoe, California. During the six years that I was there, my love for general pediatrics grew as I saw and managed the breadth of conditions that pediatrics encompasses. I also became a parent myself during this time and experienced firsthand the struggles that parents go through in being bombarded with medical information and opinions. This made me prioritize empowering parents with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions and help navigate their child's health from birth through adulthood.
