Patients who are comfortable with their clinician become better advocates for their own health and health care concerns. | Why I entered medicine | I had the great pleasure of spending an entire summer between my junior and senior college years at a camp for chronically ill children. The children and their wonderful medical staff inspired me to go into medicine. | Community involvement | I have built houses for Habitat for Humanity. I also participate in 5K walks for the American Heart Association and for Breast Cancer Awareness. | Personal interests | I love reading! I am in a book club and look forward to experiencing all types of literature. I also like to run, and have participated in numerous 5K and 10K runs, plus one Sprint Triathlon.
