Dr. David Brauer

Dr. David Brauer is a fellowship-trained hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) surgical oncologist at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and Masonic Cancer Center, providing expert care for benign and malignant conditions of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and bile ducts.

SPECIALIZED CLINICAL FOCUS:

• Gallbladder Care & Cholecystectomy: Rapid evaluation and advanced minimally invasive gallbladder surgery for complex, symptomatic, or benign gallbladder conditions

• Benign & Malignant Liver Disease: Hepatic adenoma, FNH, hemangiomas, liver cysts, primary liver cancer (HCC, cholangiocarcinoma), and cancers metastatic to the liver including colorectal cancer liver metastases

• Advanced Therapies: Robotic surgery, same-day microwave ablation or liver tumors, and Hepatic Artery Infusion (HAI) pumps

PATIENT ACCESS & LOCATION NOTE: As an HPB specialist, Dr. Brauer builds direct relationships with regional and long-distance patients across the upper Midwest. In-person visits are available at the Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis or Southdale Cancer Center in Edina, with telehealth appointments available for patients residing in MN, WI, and ND. Please note: all clinic consultations—including non-cancerous/benign liver masses, cysts, and gallbladder conditions—are seen at our cancer center locations.
