Most recently, Dr. Downing served as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He was also the co-director for the Special Moms, Special Babies Program at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Currently, he is on the teaching faculty at both George Washington University School of Medicine and Virginia Commonwealth University.
