Dr. Dipankar Mukherjee is a specialty care physician board certified in general and vascular surgery and serves as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He participates in several ongoing national and international trials to manage abdominal aortic aneurysms and carotid and peripheral arterial diseases. He has authored over 120 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters and is a speaker at major national vascular conferences. Dr. Mukherjee was born in India. He has served in the U.S. Army as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife. He has two daughters who are both physicians and four grandchildren who are their pride and joy. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, watching cricket and playing tennis. In addition, she is enthusiastically engaged in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents and fellows on the surgical service. Dr. Feng received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her general surgery residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. She did a two-year research fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital, during which she focused on tissue engineering in esophageal atresia and gastroschisis, translational research, as well as clinical outcomes and quality improvement in appendicitis and colorectal diseases. Dr. Feng completed her pediatric surgery fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
