Overview
Philosophy of care | I view you, the parent, as the best resource for information about your child. I listen carefully to what you tell me, so I can provide the most appropriate and effective health care. As I get to know you better, I can be a resource for behavior problems, social difficulties and, of course, medical issues. An unknown author captured my philosophy of children in this poem: “When a child speaks, listen. When a child laughs, smile. While a child dreams, believe. When a child hurts, heal.” I help your child heal. | Why I entered medicine | I've always enjoyed interacting with children and have been fascinated by the stages of their development. In sixth grade, I was assigned a career report that required me to interview someone in a profession that I might be interested in pursuing. I talked with a pediatrician and ever since then I knew that’s what I wanted to be. | Community involvement | I volunteer as the health care consultant for the Children's Early Care and Education Center, the daycare center for the children of Lehigh Valley Health Network employees. | Personal interests | I’m passionate about being a mom to my three sons. We enjoy traveling to many places, but our favorite vacation spot is the beach. We also like to hike, cook together and spend time with family and friends. I enjoy lap swimming, biking and running to help keep me in shape.
