Her major strength as a physician is her approachability combined with the practice of evidenced-based medicine, which she considers key to successful care. She listens closely to what her patients are saying, as well as what they may not be saying. Dr. Somcio’s practice has global aspect. After earning her medical degree in Baylor’s international health track, she participated in family medicine programs in Israel/West Bank, Ghana and Honduras as part of international health rotations during her residency.
