Overview
Lisa Okroi, APRN-CNP, CUNP is one of the few nationally certified urologic nurse practitioners in the state of Oklahoma, providing compassionate care for urology patients in Midtown Oklahoma City. She has worked in urology for many years prior to joining SSM Health. She connects with SSM Health's Mission, as she is passionate about providing exceptional care and treating patients as she would expect her own loved ones to be treated. She strives to help patients achieve their health goals and improve their quality of life. Lisa and her family have moved around frequently as she followed her husband while in the U. S. Air Force. Lisa graduated from Minot State University in Minot, N.D. with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, before pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Lisa is currently the president of the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA) Oklahoma chapter and serves on the national SUNA board as director at large. She has published post-operative patient education in the Urologic Nursing Journal and is currently a liaison for the Medical Assistants Standards Task Force. She is a member of the American Urologic Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. When not caring for patients, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as cooking and gardening.
