Dr. Elizabeth Jacobs is a dual fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at the Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Jacobs’ Training Dr. Jacobs earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she also completed an orthopedic surgery residency. She completed two fellowships: one in orthopedic adult joint reconstruction at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and one in orthopedic trauma at the University of Texas Health Science Center, which helped her to treat traumatic injuries including complex periprosthetic fractures and revisions. About Dr. Jacobs Dr. Jacobs has contributed research articles to medical journals on topics including lower extremity fracture management, ligament reconstruction, femur defects, periprosthetic fractures, and patient-reported outcomes after total joint arthroplasty and acetabular fractures. She has contributed to book chapters, received several research grant awards, and has presented her research at medical conferences. Outside of work, she enjoys competing in triathlons, hiking, playing piano, cooking and exploring national parks with her husband. As a lifelong athlete, she values the importance of being a good teammate and the many lessons in discipline, grit and preparedness.
