I chose to be a family medicine physician assistant because I enjoy developing long-lasting relationships with patients and helping them with the great diversity of medical conditions treated in family medicine. I especially love working with children, adolescents and young adults to help them develop a plan to stay healthy for the long term. I also greatly enjoy working with people in need of mental health support and treatment. As a provider, my overall goal is to create a safe space where my patients feel like they can openly discuss their health. I perceive each patient’s needs and concerns as unique and in need of care that reflects this uniqueness. I like to collaborate with my patients to develop treatment plans for their personal health goals. It’s important to me that my patients feel their concerns or questions are heard and addressed at every visit. I want my patients to leave visits feeling confident in how to care for their health.
