As part of the orthopedic mobile outreach team, I am privileged to provide individualized care to the geriatric population, primarily in nursing homes and transitional care units. My patients receive orthopedic treatment without leaving their homes and living facilities, allowing them access to specialized care in a safe and dignified manner. I enjoy working in orthopedics, where I can see tangible evidence of improvement made through small interventions, such as an injection, effective physical therapy, or an appropriately fitting brace. The decisions I make in treating my patients can impact their ability to perform daily activities and improve their quality of life.
