After graduating cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University in Waco, Dr. Emily Fong received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. She went on to complete her pediatric residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. Born in Houston and raised in Katy, Dr. Fong decided to become a doctor while in high school and selected pediatrics during medical school when her interactions with young patients brought her great joy. Dr. Fong treats patients from newborns to 18 years of age. She sees patients for wellness checkups and treats a variety of common and chronic illnesses. Her clinical interests are in preventive medicine as well as growth and development. She provides counseling on childhood obesity, nutrition, and education on healthy lifestyles. She strives to establish a partnership of care based on trust with her patients and their families. Dr. Fong always takes time to enjoy their visits and is appreciative of the opportunity to make a positive difference in her young patients’ lives. Patients in Katy and the surrounding communities enjoy her welcoming smile and genuine concern for their well being. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, practicing yoga and Zumba, and trying local restaurants and new cuisines.
