Overview
My goal is to provide compassionate, full spectrum primary care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. I am passionate about serving rural communities after being raised in one (Florence, SC), and I have special interests in women's health and mental health. Fostering open and honest communication is extremely important to me, as it allows me to determine and best meet my patients’ needs. My goal is to help patients always feel safe and comfortable discussing any health topic with me. I earned my MD at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, and I am thrilled to complete my residency training with Duke Family Medicine's Rural Track, as it allows me to train during my intern year at a large academic institution followed by two years immersed in a community hospital. I am especially excited to get to know and care for Duke Primary Care Oxford patients during all 3 years of my graduate medical training. In my free time, I enjoy staying up-to-date on news and politics, reading, and trying out new crockpot recipes.
