"I am a physician specializing in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, also known as urogynecology. I completed my residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School and my fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins University and Greater Baltimore Medical Center. I care for patients with pelvic floor disorders including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, fecal incontinence and other gynecologic concerns. I was drawn to my specialty as a third-year medical student after seeing the significant improvements in patients’ quality of life. I continue to enjoy this aspect of my job, helping women live their best lives. A lot of my patients come to me after years of living with their issue feeling like they finally have time to ""take care of me."" As women, mothers, and grandmothers, we often put ourselves last and live with fixable problems. I enjoy helping my patients understand their condition and the available treatment options, as well as helping them come to a decision based on shared decision making.".
