Overview
I created innovative group medical visits to address healthcare disparities, improve access, provide culturally competent and integrative care as a Family Medicine resident at Tufts at Cambridge Health Alliance and later as a Family Medicine physician at a private practice. I recognize the importance of care that is team-based and patient-centered and throughout my work have engaged in work that values community and partnerships. During public health school, I evaluated and enhanced community healthcare worker training as part of the US-based arm of Partners in Health. Inspired by this work and the power that accompaniment plays in augmenting health and wellness for individuals and communities, I partnered with Iora Health to open a novel primary care practice and lead health coach training. Most recently, I was an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin where I trained medical students and residents within a community healthcare center with a focus on preventative health and wellness.I am currently completing my fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona – Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.
