Growing up in Puerto Rico I was always reading – you can say I was a bookworm. And I love music. I started playing the flute as a child and I still play. I even made a music CD with other musicians. I’m married to a physician and we have three kids. My passion is helping others, especially children because we can make a difference before they grow and develop. We care for children with chronic illnesses, and because of that, we’re making a huge contribution in people’s lives on a daily basis. It’s my whole team. I’m proud to say we all have the same mindset and I admire my team’s dedication to helping children. I’m a clinician and a clinical scientist, which means I’m fortunate to be able to care for children today and, through my research, discover ways to help children in the future.
