Dr. Erica R. Gross

Erica Gross, MD, is a fellowship-trained pediatric surgeon with board-certification in surgery, pediatric surgery, and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery. She has comprehensive clinical experience and applies her skills to diagnose, treat, and provide her young patients with the best possible care. Dr. Gross is privileged to care for children and to be instrumental in their health and well-being. She strives to give each of her patients a chance to enjoy childhood and live a happy and healthy life, fostering an atmosphere that respects the unique needs of families and children of all ages. From common ailments to rare conditions, Dr. Gross is committed to achieving the best outcomes by utilizing evidence-based medicine and working collaboratively with physician colleagues in other disciplines. She has contributed book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented at national meetings on topics in pediatric surgical management. In addition, she is committed to educating medical students and residents by employing simulation-based medical education to improve care. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association and the Association for Academic Surgery. After earning her medical degree from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine, Dr. Gross completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Connecticut. She pursued three specialized fellowship programs at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and Children’s Hospital Colorado. In addition, she has participated as a volunteer on medical missions in Ecuador, Peru, and Guatemala. Dr. Gross is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.

Her clinical expertise encompasses Short Bowel Syndrome.
