Dr. Bravman is a board certified (ABOS) and subspecialty board certified (Sports Medicine), fellowship trained (both in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery) Orthopaedic Surgeon who treats a wide variety of sports, knee and shoulder conditions. He has a particular interest and expertise in complex care of the shoulder including both primary and failed shoulder instability, rotator cuff tear and osteoarthritis (total shoulder, reverse total shoulder and revision of previously performed/failed total shoulder). Dr. Bravman currently serves as team physician for the NHL Colorado Avalanche, (2017 National Champion) DU Pioneers Hockey Team and the CU Buffaloes Football Team, in addition to providing care for the Monarch High School Football Team. He previously served as a team physician for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, New England Revolution, and (2011 Stanley Cup Champion) Boston Bruins.Dr. Bravman is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is passionate about both teaching and research. He is heavily involved in the education of the next generation of sports medicine and shoulder surgeons, responsible for training 6 resident orthopeadic surgeons, 2 sports medicine and shoulder fellows and multiple students yearly. He has distinguished himself as a regional, national and international leader in sports medicine and shoulder surgery, teaching multiple “Master’s” level courses for practicing orthopaedic surgeons and has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the areas of sports medicine and shoulder surgical care.
